Lilliput Cobras

TRAINING: Saturday 9:00am, Whitecliff Park

Manager/ Coach
Chris Marsden

Chris has two sons who both live and breathe football and play for Lilliput FC. On occasion, Chris is mistaken for Arsenal FC manager, Mikel Arteta, but has sadly never been compared to him when playing football.

Chris' younger son spent years watching his older brother play football, and couldn't wait to get started himself.  With some encouragement, Chris and fellow coach Scott Instance put their names forward to coach the Lilliput Cobras team.

Chris loves seeing the shared passion shown by players, parents and coaches. Chris focuses on creating a fun environment where kids can improve as players,  learn to be part of a team and build great friendships.

Chris is a keen runner and cyclist. Before his coaching days, Chris was a regular at the Poole parkrun. When there is no football in the way (which is rare),  he occasionally drags his sons around the parkrun course with him.

Scott Instance

Having had a little boy back in 2015 I couldn’t wait for him to be old enough to start being involved in sports…… having married into a Welsh family and rugby being a big sport for them I am glad he naturally found his “feet” playing football. As soon as the U6 team was created, I jumped at the chance to give something back to the local community. One year in with training sessions completed I am looking forward to our first full season with the group of players we have.
